An Experience to Make Your Day

Spend time together doing something you'll all remember... forever!

So you're coming to the Lake District to celebrate an important event, but now you've got to work out what to do when you get here.

There's lots of things to do in the Lake District, but it rarely has a focus on creating lifelong memories - and that's important, because it's why you're coming here. Right?

I provide Lake District guided walking tours for small private groups, just like yours, who want to do something altogether, have fun, be healthy and that allows you to explore the best bits of the Lake District. What makes my tours different is that each tour has been designed to make sure your most favourite moments are captured for you to take them home as printed photographs.

But wait! There's more...

If you consider your fondest memories, how many of them came at the expense of some kind of admin or adversity that you had to overcome first?

My tours are simple: pick a date, a route and if you want food (yes, I did say food). This is also so much more than a private guided walk!

Watch the video to see what you could be doing to celebrate your special moment in the Lake District this summer.

I can't speak highly enough about the service provided by Al. We were celebrating a special family occasion and spent a few hours in Al's company. Afterwards, he consulted patiently with me about our album and the final result was stunning. Very impressive.

What's Available?

Tour Locations

Route 1

Little Langdale

6Km - 5 Hours

Difficulty: Easy - One short scrambling section but this can be avoided if necessary.

Discover the wonders of this quaint Lake District valley with a guided private walking tour of natural beauty spots and industrial ruins including Cathedral Cave & Slater Bridge.

This is a steady walk with fantastic diversity that'll keep all groups entertained throughout the entire day and is excellent for groups with younger walkers.

There are only 300 metres of ascent throughout the entire tour making this a fine option for those looking for some superb views without having to climb a lot to get there. P.s Don't forget a torch 😉

Route 2

Loughrigg

12Km - 8 Hours

Difficulty: Moderate - Some longer and steeper uphill sections but with fantastic rewards

On a clear day the views on this walk are spectacular! We'll visit four different 'lakes' along the way as we visit the best parts of Loughrigg, near to Ambleside.

See its caves, conquer its summit and marvel at the view points in the valley while having a fantastic day out with lots to do and see including visiting Rydal Caves.

As an added bonus, if you fancy a swim then bring your swimmers and take a refreshing dip in one of three lakes along the route to top off a grand day out that ticks all the boxes. This has to be the one of the best guided walking tours in the Lake District!
